As you all know, it was Sayuri's birthday last week and guess what she got! She got a fully functional BMX bycicle from Christoph (who happened to be a human very fond of the rats)! Cheers Christoph! Unfortunately the saddle of the bike was not ergonomicly designed for the rodent's backside, so she is waiting for me to strap a small cushion on her bum (or on th bike, rather) and have a support wheels fitted!   "Boo, my bum is too big..." Meanwhile... Minami practices her skateboard tricks.

Rat of the Month! Matsuri & Nazuna Owned by Ms. Yumi "Matsuri" means jasmine, "Nazuna" means shepherd's purse in Japanese. They are husky rats sisters with white bellies. Birthday: 28/10/2001 Sex: Female Weight: 230g (21/03/2002) Yumi's Comment about Rat Keeping : I have kept hamsters, but it's the first time for me to keep rats. It's all so fascinating to watch how their individual temperament and personality are so different. And of course they have such cute faces! Matsuri is trying to steal Nazuna's treat Matsuri: "Oh, come on, give us some of that treat!"
