This humongous website proudly presents rat links over 1000!!!! I would say this is the directory of rat info on the net. You learn something new every day from this site. Took me few days to read it all! PET RAT CANADA http://www.geocities.com/pet_rats_canada/ This is a neatly designed Canadian page with very useful calculators for finding out your ratty's human equivalent age and many more day to day tips of rat keeping. THE RAT FAN CLUB http://www.ratfanclub.org/ This site is run by Debbie Ducommun "The rat lady" , who is truly the most experienced and recognised pet rat guru. Her site is very informative, and has many articles explaining rat illnesses and behaviour questions that any rat owner would come across at least once. ALIENRAT.CO.UK http://www.alienrat.co.uk/ This site is actually my personal favourite simply because alien rat kinda looks cute and what's more, I can hear a rat laugh!!!!! Let me explain, rats can apparently laugh when they are tickled on their belly ( reference ). However, the laughter can not be heard by humans because our ears are not tuned into the frequency that rats talk in. Only the way to hear the rat laughing, you need to purchase bat / rat / mouse decorder which converts the inaudible laughing sounds into series of clicking noise. Beatrix Potter: She dedicated a book 'The Tale of Samuel Whiskers or the Roly-Poly Pudding' to her on pink eyed ratty. Some how I always knew she was fond of rodents... Michael Jackson: Before he used to keep a pet monkey, he apparently kept a rat called Ben, which also appreared in his tune in 1972. Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919): Looong time before the White House had a cat, Roosevelt had a rat and many other little animals running around him.
