Ratamania                           Mid September Issue

My lil monsters seems to get very hungry these days. I guess autumn is kicking in rainy England and rats are getting ready for the winter by stuffing themselves as much as they can -  just another excuse to feast themselves on nice din-dins then. Sayuri is almost 6 months now and she is no longer growing but starting to grow side ways. I think she is naturally a big healthy ratty. Since she has learned to use the Wodent Wheel she has been speeding on it almost day and night keeping other rats and me a sleepless nights. Results are visible. She is more firm to feel and she has more defined arms and legs.  She also has a very chunky body with short limbs and chunky neck. Poor young lady is nicknamed "Chubby face". She looks more like a miniature polar bear.

However, little Miss Koyuki (below) is a different story. She can eat as much as she likes and she always remains slim. She is probably 4 months old with a faint Himalayan chocolate smudge on her nose. She has incredibly long body with long limbs and even runs gracefully. And she just can't stop posing when she is photographed. Few months ago, she started to develop some dark patch around her ears and I thought she was getting mouldy. According to my friends, it's "only natural" for the Himmi to develop a pair of dark ears! Duh!

And finally this is my lil Minami. She is the clingy one of all others and she is a little sweety. Mina is probably slightly older than Koyuki but she is a late developer. Few weeks ago she suddenly developed a chest infection and currently under treatment with Baytril. It seems to get worse in the late night when she is partying out but get better in the morning. She is so tiny, and so attached to me (^.^) She still looks like a baby, rather big a head compared to the rest of the body...
